Operation MIDNIGHT CLIMAX (1954-1965) A CIA-run operation in which the government operated secret brothels in San Francisco and New York, luring unsuspecting American men who were then drugged with LSD without consent. CIA agents observed and recorded behavior through one-way mirrors, studying sexual vulnerability, compliance, and psychological breakdown. Participants were never informed, compensated, or medically monitored. The operation violated drug laws, privacy laws, and human experimentation standards, and faced zero consequences when exposed.
