Operation Paperclip (1945)
A secret U.S. government program launched after World War II to recruit German scientists, engineers, and technicians—many of whom had worked for the Nazi regime. Its primary goal was to bring their expertise (especially in rocketry, weapons, and aerospace) to the United States before the Soviet Union could. One of the most notable recruits was Wernher von Braun, who later played a key role in the U.S. space program.
Do you believe the official narrative of what allegedly happened in 1969? (The optics and timing are interesting, to say the least...)
In short: the U.S. prioritized scientific advantage during the early Cold War, even if it meant overlooking some individuals’ past affiliations.
